Sissonville VFD Hosts Swiftwater Rescue Training
On the evening of June 25, 2007 the Sissonville VFD hosted a Swiftwater Awareness Class at Sissonville High School. Fifty Seven students from Fire Departments all over West Virginia attended. Then on July 1, 2007 students from all over West Virginia and Bedford County, Virginia attended a Swiftwater Boat Operations class (see pictures below) on the New River. Nearly 60 Students were trained in this event as well. We would like to thank West Virginia University Fire Service Extension for helping to sponsor this training.
